Demi Moore Attempts Intervention via Twitter

Demi Moore is once again proving the power of Twitter.

The 46-year-old G.I. Jane actress, who earlier this year used Twitter technology to quash adoption rumors about herself, has once again employed the technology—this time in the service of another human being.

OK! Magazine reports that Moore reached out today to troubled British fan Lisa Connell in hopes of preventing her from making a tragic mistake.

Connell, who’s 29 years old and has terminal cancer, recently told the UK press of her plans to have nearly $60,000 of plastic surgery to make herself look more like Moore before she dies.

When Demi heard of this story, Moore snapped into action, taking to her Twitter page to discourage her misguided follower.

“Wish I could contact this woman Lisa Connell who wants to have surgery to look like me & encourage her to not to! She is a beautiful girl!” Moore pleads.

And perhaps, just perhaps, Moore’s digital message in a bottle will reach its intended target, making Connell re-think her ill-considered plan.

After that, maybe she can Twitter her husband Ashton Kutcher and remind him not to make an ass of himself next time he has a dispute with a neighbor.
