Deryck Whibley and Avril Lavigne: Deny, Deny, Deny
MTV reports that Deryck Whibley and Avril Lavigne are denying rumors about their snarly marriage being in trouble.
A recent MySpace posting by Whibley titled “Totally False Gossip” refutes recent reports that he’s been stepping out with other women behind Avril’s back while she’s on tour.
“For the record we strongly deny the inference of marital problems between Avril and Deryck,” Whibley’s post reads. “We also strongly deny the National Enquirer claims of any other liaisons. Deryck has in fact been traveling through Asia performing with Avril as evidenced by the numerous YouTube videos.
“I’m actually very surprised that so many media outlets picked this story up,” he continues. “Since when did the National Enquirer become a trustworthy news source?”
Hmmm. Could there have been some “complicated” hotel throwdowns and screaming matches in Asia that preceded this statement?
