UPDATE: Duped again? An In Touch Weekly alert now says Angelina Jolie did in fact enter the Santa Maria clinic in Nice's Hospital Lenval, but "the visit has been planned for a long time, there are no complications. She is just resting."

Huh, resting? What, she can't do that in her cushy French mansion with her personal medical staff of eight, especially when she didn't show for her 11th-hour gyno appointment?

Time will tell, of course, but it sounds like someone's not saying something...

 

French magazine Closer is reporting that Angelina Jolie has given birth to her and Brad Pitt's twins.

The mag prints en Français, but translated, this morning's post says, "In a world exclusive, Closer reveals that Angelina Jolie has given birth this (Tuesday) morning at a French hospital! The star went into labor last night."

Remember, though, that the end of May, rumors circulated as well that Jolie had delivered the babies. The news started with Entertainment Tonight, which was allegedly tipped off by an individual impersonating Angelina's personal assistant. Then the hoax was revealed, including jabs that the ET folks knew the story was flimsy when they printed it.

If the babes are here, best wishes to all. But already burned once, we'll probably just wait until someone from the Jolie-Pitt camp steps up.

    Goodness, who cares if she's given birth or not? There's so much noise and anticipation around these babies as if America has become a monarchy and their twins are the rightful heirs. I'll bet that many babies out there will be more beautiful someday, though their parents aren't Brad and Angelina. Get a life!
