Did Katy Perry Dis Lady GaGa’s ‘Alejandro’ Video?
Uh-oh, sounds like we might have an old-fashioned Battle of the Songstresses brewing here.
As everyone knows, Lady GaGa unleashed her epic new video “Alejandro” upon the world this morning, chock full of images of the Pantless One in a fetishized nun’s outfit. And shortly after the video’s debut, a very curious tweet popped up on fellow chanteuse Katy Perry‘s twitter account:
“Using blasphemy as entertainment is as cheap as a comedian telling a fart joke.”
Well, Katy is engaged to British funnyman Russell Brand, so she should be an expert on such matters. And we’re hard-pressed to think of what else Perry might have been referring to.
We just wonder if GaGa will retaliate with a sharp-tongued tweet of her own regarding Katy’s new “California Gurls” video—which, perhaps coincidentally, was previewed this morning. This could get unpleasant…

Lady Gaga is a WEIRDO, since when did being a freak become popular? theres a reason ppl like her are outcasts, they’re awkward and creepy. Alejandro is the creepiest, sickest video i’ve seen so far. Gaga is a master manipulator, she knows pop culture has an enormous influence on this generation of children, so she’s infested pop culture with extremely negative propaganda. Listen ppl everything you see in the media is there for a reason, there are TEAMS of ppl who sit and disect everything that is published, so if you think there are no hidden messages in her videos I suggest you grow up, and if you do agree that there are hidden messages, what are they? usually they are something nasty and ugly? Her disgusting disrespect for the catholic religion just shows how far she will go to corrupt the minds of the future generation. Just because you don’t like it don’t knock it. Lady Gaga is a GROSS human being, with no morals and no integrity, she’s a hypocrite who stands for gay right yet blatantly disrespects all Catholic’s and Christians. Don’t you dare tell me that it’s alright to mock someones beliefs, and don’t you dare tell me that her disrespect is justified because it’s “art” Jesse James had Nazi memorabilia and was ATTACKED for being anti-semetic ( his memorabilia was not directed towards jews, however Alejandro clearly is directed towards catholics), and Alejandro is acceptable? There is a terrible double standard, Catholics defending their faith are criticised as being nuts, Just like Jesse James had to apologies for what he did, Lady Gaga should be accountable for what she did, what gives her the right to disrespect me? (anyone who disrespects my religion disrespects me)

I hope that Adam Lambert’s video of his song “If I Had You” will surpass both Gaga’s and Katy’s vids. Saw a preview and it looks amazing! Plus, it has such a strong and positive message. Plus, it’s a totally great song for the summer. Let’s all party and dance together this summer over If I Had You!!

Lady Gaga has sold more records than Katy, has more # 1 hits than Katy, has sold out more arenas and venues than Katy, has more style than Katy, and has WAY more money than Katy. I think someone’s just jealous.
I think that we need more respect for things that stars now exploit. It has gotten pretty unbearable to watch a lot of these stars’ videos because what is considered mainstream entertainment in the pop world has become what ironically has been shunned quite publicly for a very long time: pornography. It’s not completely there, but it is, in a mild sense, pornography. I find these videos and such just sad, because they’re de-basing.

How do you define talent?
Because Lady GaGa creatively designs everything she does, and she composes her own music (being a classically trained pianist and all). You may not like her style of music or her aesthetics, but there’s not denying it takes a certain amount of skill to pull it all off.
Go Gaga! No matter what anyone else thinks I think you are an amazing artist/singer/shockartist and so on and so fourth!! No, i don’t believe Gaga is a good role model because- WHILE she wants to free people from thier worries, she wants to free people from their religion. Ok first off I think Katy is a useless tool with TERRIBLE songs and no one will even remember her in a month from now. She acts ridiculous and has absolutely NO talent. Gaga has a fantastic voice but she does pop songs because its what sells HOWEVER these videos are a little extreme especially this one in particular theres really no reason to have everyone grinding and dry humping each other and nudity in almost every music video when most of your fans are young girls it makes her seem tasteless and really just trashy so I see where both sides are coming from.
