Did Rihanna Have to Cancel an Oscars Appearance?
The New York Post reports that “Umbrella” singer Rihanna was scheduled to perform at last night’s Academy Awards show, but pulled out because of the recent beating she allegedly suffered from boyfriend Chris Brown.
According to the paper, the Barbadian songbird, born Robyn Rihanna Fenty, had been slated to do a surprise performance that would have put her in the company of Beyonce Knowles, Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens, who performed at last night’s ceremony.
Since the incident, which occurred in the early-morning hours prior to the Grammys, Rihanna has been forced to pull out of several engagements, including scheduled concerts in Jakarta and Malaysia. The singer’s 21st birthday, which occurred on Friday, also passed without fanfare, though the singer was spotted in Los Angeles the night before.
Police are currently investigating the incident, as well as the leak of a photo that purportedly shows the injuries Rihanna suffered.

i know all of u CHRIS BROWN fans would support him and some of the people would say thiings like “mind ur own business…” , “its not ur life…” or bugg off…” but i say even though i really did like chris brown he ruined his whole career (for me anyway)i’m not trying to say you should all support rihanna and im not saying i hate chris im saying that he really shouldn’t have done that, its causing such a ruckus in and out of the hollywood and also its not nice to just control somebodys life.
