Adam "DJ AM" Goldstein, who last night ushered in a new era for Hollywood club the Palladium, gave his first interview since the plane crash that injured both he and Travis Barker to People.

Goldstein recounts how Barker threw open the emergency exit of the Learjet after the accident occurred.

"I tried to cover my face as I jumped through a fireball," he says. "As soon as I hit the ground, I remembered, 'Stop, drop and roll.' So I started rolling."

The celebrity DJ, who has received much support from his record-spinning pals like Mark Ronson and Danny Masterson, has undergone three surgeries to treat his second- and third-degree burns.

"My emotions go back and forth," he tells the mag. "I can't believe I made it. I'm just grateful."

Travis Barker also opened up about his emotions following the crash this past week on his MySpace blog.
