Does Blake Want a Payout from Amy Winehouse?
After initially being released from prison to enter a rehabilitation program, Blake Fielder-Civil, the husband of Grammy-winning pop singer Amy Winehouse—was sent back to jail last week for failing a standard drug test.
But after allegedly breaking off his marriage with 25-year-old Winehouse last month, it seems that Blake, 26, may not be willing to go quietly into the night.
“Blake has asked Amy’s manager for [$1.5 million] to walk away from their marriage and not write a tell-all book about it,” a source tells UK paper the News of the World. “He’s so two-faced. He just wants a pay-off. Money’s his driving force.”
The tabloid also claims that Fielder-Civil told his mother Georgette Fielder-Civil that Winehouse’s father Mitch Winehouse initially offered him roughly $75,000 to divorce his daughter.
Ironically, the News of the World points out that Blake told the publication last week, “I’m not interested in Amy’s money. I’m not taking a penny off her.”
Guy Ritchie recently insisted the same thing during his divorce from Madonna.
Alas, Ritchie is in a far better situation, lifestyle-wise, than Blake Fielder-Civil.
