Drew & Justin: They'll Always Have Mexico

Note to Drew Barrymore and Mac-man boyfriend Justin Long: Your favorite vacation spot has just been occupied. And not by tourists.

Page Six says Casa Magna resort, in the Mexican Riviera town of Tulum, has long been Drew's preferred spot for R&R, but following an armed takeover last month, the official prognosis for the place is "foreclosed."

One regular reportedly received an email from the hotel's owners, saying, "We have run into some unexpected problems with the Mexican government involving a land dispute that has affected Casa Magna's stability. The people we lease from are being sued, and the opposing party has appeared out of the woodwork with papers giving them temporary occupation."

Ohhhh-kay, and that means what, exactly? A guest staying at the place tells the paper, "I was scared for my life. I booked a room at Casa Magna for a friend's wedding weekend at the hotel. When I arrived, I was told that the 'Mexican Mafia' had taken back the house."

Fortunately for Drew and Justin, they were safely ensconsed in the US of A at the time. Not so fortunately for the couple, she was off doing this.

Owner Melissa Pearlman, of Bikini Boot Camp workout fame, says the whole uniforms-and-guns thing was all just a misunderstanding: "We are temporarily closed and will reopen on Dec. 1."
