Actor-turned-hoofer Gilles Marini may have earned a perfect 30 a week ago on Dancing With the Stars, but the curse that's plagued the show this season seems to have taken another swipe at him in return.
OK! Magazine reports that the French actor—who suffered a pulled groin while rehearsing for the show in late February—has now sustained a shoulder injury that will require surgery.
"We never talked about it on the show tonight," Marini told the magazine after last week's performance. "I hurt so bad—my shoulder—that I need surgery," Gilles said. "I have a separated shoulder. My best friend is Advil."
Marini's injury hasn't affected his performance so far; this week he earned a 29—the highest score of the episode—for his scorching, shirtless Paso Doble.
And even though he'll have to go under the knife when the season concludes, his partner, Cheryl Burke, notes that he's been given the medical go-ahead to continue competing. "The doctor said he'll be fine until the show's over," Burke notes.
In the meantime, maybe Marini's new BFF, Steve-O, can give him backrubs when his injury flares up. That's what buds are for, right?

Pelvic thrusting related injuries are the new hotness. I know I pull my groin like every day with my old lady.
