With the California Supreme Court overturning the ban on gay marriage, Ellen DeGeneres has announced that she and girlfriend Portia de Rossi are planning to wed. The 50-year-old funnylady shared the news on an episode of her daytime talk show.

Portia smiled and teared up in the audience while Ellen made public her intention to marry, but an insider dished to the National Enquirer that she was anything but surprised. "Portia demanded that Ellen marry her. After lots of talk and plenty of hints, Portia finally confronted Ellen right after the Oscars about making a commitment."

Ha! This legislation is totally going to make or break a whole slew of same-sex relationships. The "Casual Encounters" section of Craigslist for all cities in California is in severe danger of being overloaded with hits.

If i were into girls, Portia would be my number one pic for hot celeb i would want to get it on with fo'sho. If i were Ellen, i wouldnt count on this lasting.
