Emma Stone to Star in 'Spider-Man 4'?
Emma Stone might be graduating from the classroom to more heroic environs soon.
EW.com reports that the 21-year-old Easy A actress is in contention to star in the upcoming reboot of the Spider-Man movie series, and has read for the film with Andrew Garfield, who's inheriting the role of the tights-clad Web-slinger from Tobey Maguire.
It's uncertain which female lead Watson is up for. According to reports, Spider-Man 4—which goes back to Spidey's high school years—will feature both Mary Jane Watson (portrayed by Kirsten Dunst in the previous installments) and Gwen Stacy (played by Eclipse actress Bryce Dallas Howard in Spider-Man 3).
Producers are also considering Alice in Wonderland actress Mia Wasikowska, who was flown in from New York to meet with both Garfield and director Marc Webb.
Production for Spider-Man 4 is tentatively scheduled to begin at the end of the year, and is already slated for a Summer 2012 release.
