The reigning queens and kings of television arrived at the Sunday afternoon to celebrate all that is wonderful about broadcast, subscription and basic cable TV.

The 60th Annual Prime Time Emmys were awarded at L.A.’s Nokia Theater Sunday night.

For many of the honorees, winning one of the prestigious flying lady trophies means basking in the acclaim of peers and striking acid in the gut of rivals.

For most of the world watching, the real action takes place outside the hall.

Just like on any ordinary viewing night, the stars are the only reason anyone is really watching.
