The Fourth of July holiday is all about celebrating our country and our country's resources - and if it's done by stuffing yourself with hot dogs and beer, so be it!
However, there are simpler (and less calorie-consuming) ways to show your patriotism.
Being more environmentally aware with the little things, such as recycling, only driving the Escalade on weekends, or being a green-leaning cog in the all-consuming entertainment machine, can make a difference for America's future.
