Eva Longoria-Parker Gets ‘Allure’-ing
Not that Eva Longoria-Parker ever needs an excuse to hold a bash, but a cover story in Allure is as good an excuse as any.
The 33-year-old Desperate Housewives actress and wife of San Antonio Spurs basketballer Tony Parker, 26, hosted a soiree in honor of her November 2008 Allure cover last night. Those on hand to honor the beauty queen included her good buddies Victoria Beckham and Kate Beckinsale, DH castmate Kyle MacLachlan, Heidi Klum, Hayden Panettiere and Rosario Dawson.
The party was held, quite naturally, at Eva’s own Los Angeles eatery Beso. Because the only thing better than throwing yourself a party is scoring some free publicity for your business at the same time.
In the Allure cover story, Eva discusses recent pregnancy rumors (untrue!), her low self-esteem as a child (“My nickname was Prieta Fea, which means ‘Ugly Dark one’ in Spanish”) and the controversy over her recent weight gain.
“I stopped working out and gained about seven pounds over the summer, which is a lot for a small person,” Longoria-Parker says. “Every magazine is tearing me apart…I never went up a size. I just got rounder. I’m still a size 0.”
Don’t let the haters get you down, Eva. If your recent appearances are any indication, you put the weight on in all the right places.
