With the 2008 Emmy Awards approaching in mere weeks, producers made the surprise decision to have all five Reality TV Host nominees share hosting duties throughout the night. 

When television hosting first began, only minor celebrities took on the role. The job has become much more desired in recent years, and has given many celebrities their fame.

Heidi Klum is America's most beloved European from hosting Project Runway. Tom Bergeron started his hosting career on America's Funniest Videos and is now well-loved on Dancing with the Stars. Ryan Seacrest has hosted himself into being one of the biggest sharks in show business. And everyone knows that Howie Mandel has germophobia after watching him shy away from handshakes on Deal Or No Deal.
