Pete Wentz is going public with how much Fall Out Boy donated to a No on Prop 8 campaign which hopes to defeat a ballot initative that would do away with same-sex couples' right to marry.
According to Popnography, the band coughed up a generous $50,000 to the cause. That's still half of what Brad Pitt and Steven Spielberg each gave, but Wentzy needs to spend cautiously; he has a bundle of joy on the way with wife Ashlee Simpson. According to some sources, two bundles of joy. That's a lot of college to save for.
But fatherhood worries aside, Prop 8 is an issue the rockers feel very strongly about. Wentz recently blogged: "i think proposition 8 is pretty lame- as many others do too. its f*cking lame."
At least Fall Out Boy put their money where their mouths are. Unlike certain celebrities, who put their mouths...on anything.
