FBI 'Looking Into' Lindsay Lohan Stalker Case

The case of Lindsay Lohan's mystery caller has just gotten that much more serious—now the feds are involved.

TMZ reports that the FBI has been enlisted to get to the bottom of a serious of harassing and threatening phone calls and text messages that the actress—who's currently undergoing rehab treatment—has received at California's Betty Ford Center.

The messages were reportedly passed on to the G-men by Lohan's mother, Dina Lohan, who according to reports has been receiving strange messages, along with LiLo's brother, Michael Lohan Jr. The messages are said to warn Dina and Michael to stay away from Sam Lutfi and Lohan family patriarch Michael Lohan. (As reported earlier, Lutfi—the former self-styled manager of Britney Spears, who has reportedly befriended Michael recently—is suspected of sending messages to Lindsay.)

The FBI is reportedly "looking into" the calls after Dina forwarded the information.

Mean Girls actress Lohan, 24, is expected to remain in rehab until January 3. She was ordered into treatment after failing at least one court-mandated drug test, violating the conditions of her probation stemming from her 2007 DUI arrest.
