Fergie has signed on to star in the big-screen adaption of the hit Broadway musical Nine opposite Daniel Day-Lewis.

The Fergalicious one will portray Saraghina, who’s “basically a prostitute on the beach.” Sounds like method acting!

Her other Nine co-stars include newly-single Kate Hudson, Marion Cotillard, Penelope Cruz, Nicole Kidman and Dame Judi Dench.

This is a major coup for Fergie’s acting career, which has so far amounted to portraying a doomed and soggy singer in Poseidon (more method acting) and an adulterous lesbian lover in Grindhouse.

Of course, by now she should have finally mastered hooker heels for the role.
