Fred Durst Still Talking Nasty About Britney Spears

Limp Bizkit lead singer and late 90s icon Fred Durst insists that he had a sexual relationship with Britney Spears, and even claims to be somewhat responsible for some of the traumatic troubles she experienced in recent years.

Durst tells MTV that his insistence that he was with Spears six years ago became a “fiasco of madness” at the time.

“[But] I always stay true to my heart and true to everything I did and my intentions, and I am in no way a liar.”

Durst was allegedly working on writing songs for a Spears album and claimed they began a romantic relationship. Which Britney denied, claiming that she barely even knew the man.

Fred went on the Howard Stern radio show after her denial and swore “on my child’s blue eyes” that he was telling the truth.

The Limp Bizkit frontman (who is now a motion picture director and recently reformed Bizkit with original guitarist Wes Borland) says that their entanglement led Britney down some dark roads.

“I look back on it as very interesting [in terms of] how things have been sort of unraveling for her since,” he said. “[But] it is what it is. I can sleep at night knowing I made decisions that I wanted to make. [Still], I’m a supporter. I was then, I guess I am now.”

“I just guess at the time it was taboo for a guy like me to be associated with a gal like her,” he noted.
