The cast of Friends is returning for a lightning round, with the green light given for a movie version. According to insiders who dished to the Daily Mail, filming should begin "within the next 18 months."

Encouraged by the financial success of the Sex and the City big-screen adaptation, the stars of the show—most notably Jennifer Aniston—are finally ready to reprise their roles from the long-running sitcom.

In a scenario that sounded all too familiar to the SATC ladies, everyone had been hoping since 2004 for a movie to happen, except for Aniston.

However, the climate has changed, according to the source. "As the biggest star of the Friends franchise, Jennifer can't help but look at what's happened with Sarah Jessica Parker and the Sex and the City film and be a little jealous."
