Trouble in Paradise! Beyoncé and Jay-Z Butt Heads Over How to Raise Their Kids
Could this be the beginning of the end for Bey-Z?
Behind Closed Doors
They say nothing tears a couple apart like renovating a house. In the case of Beyoncé and Jay-Z, their marriage is being tested again as they decide where they want to put down roots for their three children.
Though the powerhouse couple seem like they’re on good terms again after Jay’s cheating confession, word has it the parents-of-three are fighting non-stop behind close doors. Apparently, Bey and Jay have went from arguing over “Becky with the good hair” to the Hamptons and Bel Air.
Drama at Home
An insider tells Radar Online “the family is in New York City right now because they are looking at schools for Blue Ivy,” but having a difficult time completely leaving their new west coast home behind.
According to the outlet, Beyoncé wants to move back to the Big Apple after welcoming twins Rumi and Sir. However, her husband believes the best choice for the clan is to stay in sunny Los Angeles — where they just dropped $88 million for a 30,000-square-foot mansion after spending two years hunting for the perfect house.
“Beyoncé wants to be closer to her family on the East Coast and Jay-Z thinks that uprooting Blue Ivy from school in Malibu is just an awful idea,” the source reveals. “Blue loves her school in California and she has all of her friends there.”
The informant adds that discussions about their family have since turned into explosive blowouts, claiming:
“Jay-Z flat out told her that she is being selfish. This whole schooling thing is just creating so much drama for them!”
As Celebuzz previously reported, Bey and Jay recently purchased a luxury lakeside estate in the Hamptons for $26 million. Boasting 12,000 square feet of interior space, the “museum-quality” residence features seven bedrooms, nine baths, a massive chef’s kitchen, an infinity-edged pool, and a 800-square-foot guest cottage right next to 17 acres of meadow preserve owned by the Nature Conservancy.
The purchase came not long after Beyoncé quietly sold her three-bedroom apartment on the 44th floor of One Beacon Court in Midtown Manhattan. The “Formation” singer’s mother, Tina Knowles, also unloaded her 42nd-floor pad in the same building.
