Duggar Daughter Breaks Family Rule, Husband Begs for Money
It's hard to see them come back from this
All eyes are on 26-year-old Jill Duggar after husband Derick Dillard was ousted from Counting On for his transphobic comments about fellow TLC star Jazz Jennings. Unfortunately for her, everything seems to be heading for a downward spiral. The mom-of-two is now caught in a scandal of her own after breaking one of her parents’ biggest rules of all time!
Things started to go downhill for Jill when Derick publicly lashed out at Jazz and made several controversial comments about the transgender teen. Purposefully using the wrong pronouns to address the I Am Jazz star, who identifies as a girl, he called the 17-year-old’s reality show an “oxymoron” this August and claimed that “gender is not fluid; it’s ordained by God.”
Despite already receiving backlash for the remark, Derick continued to pile on the hate last week and targeted the reality star’s family for supporting her transition after she was diagnosed with gender identity disorder at 4 years old. The 28-year-old dad tweeted:
“I pity Jazz. 4 those who take advantage of him in order 2 promote their agenda, including the parents who allow these kinds of decisions 2 be made by a child. It’s sad that ppl would use a juvenile this way. Again, nothing against him, just unfortunate what’s on TV these days.”
He added: “Jazz is being taken advantage of, as part of a larger agenda. I really have nothing against the kid and wish him [sic] all the best in life. I just hate seeing him [sic] used this way.”
Fired From TLC
Since then, TLC announced they had severed ties with the pastor, writing the following:
“We want to let our viewers know that Derick Dillard has not participated in Counting On for months and the network has no plans to feature him in the future. We want to reiterate that Derick’s personal statements do not reflect the views of the network. TLC is proud to share the story of Jazz Jennings and her family and will continue to do so.”
No one to back down from scandal, Derick continued to put his former network and its star on blast, sharing a quote on Instagram that asserts that “[o]ur culture has accepted two huge lies.”
“The first is that if you disagree with someone’s lifestyle, you must fear or hate them. The second is that to love someone means you agree with everything they believe or do. Both are nonsense. You don’t have to compromise conviction to be compassionate,” he continued.
Amid his controversial behavior, the shameless father even started to ask fans for money!
