The Jersey Shore cast may be back for another season of Family Vacation, but not everyone is happy with their return to reality TV. Though they previously put Seaside Heights on the map during the original run of the show, residents of the waterfront town don’t want to see them fist-pumping at the shore anymore.
Jersey Shore is back, but not welcomed.
Though Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi, Jenni “JWoww” Farley, Deena Nicole Cortese, Paul “DJ Pauly D” DelVecchio, Vinny Guadagnino, Ronnie Ortiz-Magro, and Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino put Seaside Heights on the map during the original run of the popular MTV show, the waterfront town wants nothing to do with them anymore.
According to Us Weekly, the cast can no longer film in the New Jersey tourist hotspot for the second season of their hugely successful revival, Jersey Shore: Family Vacation.
A source told the magazine that the gang will instead shack up together in Wildwood, N.J., a city an hour south of the house they once lived in for three seasons.
“They have been filming the second season here but they haven’t officially moved into their house yet,” the insider spilled. “MTV couldn’t get Seaside to approve permits for filming so they’ll be moving into a house near Wildwood.”
The source added the cast and crew took off Fourth of July, but resumed filming on Thursday, July 5. The insider also said the group will also shoot scenes in Atlantic City — the place where JWoww infamously punched The Situation — for Pauly D’s monthly DJ gig at Harrah’s.
