Lawsuit Uncovers Secret Videos That Could DESTROY Kim and Kanye’s Marriage
What will Kim Kardashian think?
Kanye West’s $10 million lawsuit could end up ruining his marriage. As the rapper continues to fight Lloyd’s of London for unpaid funds stemming from the cancellation of the Saint Pablo Tour, details of his secret lifestyle — including a drug habit — have surfaced. Those close to the explosive legal battle say some of the evidence being presented for the case may end up hurting Kanye’s relationship with Kim Kardashian.
In email correspondents between the 40-year-old’s attorneys and the insurance company’s lawyers obtained by Radar Online, Kanye’s team reveals there is over 20 hours of footage shot prior to the father-of-two’s 2016 mental breakdown and subsequent hospitalization that could “hurt his career” and “more importantly, destroy his marriage.”
According to a mediation statement sent on April 18, 2017 by Yeezy’s lawyer, Howard E. King, the shocking tape “graphically depicted the deterioration of his condition and mental breakdown.”
Kanye was said to be so distraught by the thought of the footage getting into the wrong hands that he refused to deliver a physical copy to the Lloyd’s of London’s U.K. headquarters. Instead, he spent $10,000 to fly a paralegal to London for a private viewing “for fear that a public release, intentionally or inadvertently, might hurt his career and, more importantly, destroy his marriage,” according to his attorney.
As previously reported, the video showed a multi-day meltdown that includes crying fits, violence, and the effects of Kanye’s sleep deprivation. Kanye also admitted to “getting off of drugs, bad drugs” and boasted about “popping Percocets two at a time” on the tape.
The “Famous” emcee’s own team even admitted the Grammy winner ingested an “unidentified drink” believed to be “drinkable marijuana” just four days before he was placed under an involuntary 5150 psychiatric hold. “Shockingly, a hip-hop artist has used marijuana (and consumed alcohol) for much of his life, with no ill effects,” an email sent on April 18, 2017 read.
Kanye also allegedly took “14 doses” of Percocet in two weeks and received “prescribed injectable Demerol” prior to his hospitalization.
“There can certainly be no doubt that statements regarding purported drug use are worthy of investigation given the information contained in Mr. West’s medical records regarding the use of 2C-B, the testimony regarding marijuana and liquid marijuana, Percocet prescriptions, prescriptions for valium and Demerol (all in someone else’s name),” Lloyd’s of London attorney Wayne H. Hammack wrote in an email dated February 23, 2017.
As a part of the messy lawsuit, Kim secretly testified on Kanye’s drug use. In a testimony made on December 13, 2016, the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star confirmed her husband had used Percocet for a short time before the cancellation of the tour. She also told attorneys Kanye had a valid prescription to painkillers.
Kanye’s insurance company since refused to pay, filing a countersuit citing policy exclusions that include “pre-existing psychological conditions, possession of illegal drugs, prescription drugs not taken as medically prescribed, and the consumption of alcohol rendering the insured unfit to perform.”
