Kelly Dodd’s Divorce Drama
She might be regretting her decision now
The Big D
Kelly and Michael Dodd started a relationship in 2004, and they gave birth to a daughter in 2007. They didn’t have an easy relationship at all and were often seen arguing, even in the early days. Kelly field for divorce in 2012.
They weren’t quite ready to officially split up at the time and tried to forge a better relationship over the last few years. She said that they just couldn’t get along after all. She told Daily Mail, “We aren’t good together. Maybe we’ll better to each other when we are divorced and are friends. But right now we are both miserable and it’s not good for either one of us, let alone our daughter.”
Kelly filed a motion in September to move her five-year-old divorce filing forward just before the couple sold their mansion for $5 million. She still had mixed emotions about making this huge change after all these years.
She told Andy Cohen on the RHOC reunion, “It’s sad because I’ve lived with Michael most of my life. We have a kid together, a child together. It’s hard to see it go.”
Taking the Child
Michael is ready for the divorce as well, but he’s not giving up anything without a fight. An insider told Page Six, “Michael is giving her hell. He wants [their daughter] Jolie full-time.”
Michael has yet to file paperwork asking for custody.
Kelly has been having a rough year aside from the divorce proceedings. As we previously reported, police were called to her home several times in 2017. They came to the abode four times of July 20 alone for “keeping the peace” calls. Kelly said on Instagram that the cops were called by “old people” in her neighborhood who didn’t like her loud parties. She also said that the cops were called due to people stalking her at the home.
She was also embarrassed when she was told to get out of someone’s car that she was trying to enter which was caught on tape.
Not My Car
On Nov. 21, Kelly was rebuffed by Yolanda Hadid’s ex-husband David Foster when she tried to talk to him at Craig’s restaurant in West Hollywood. As he was being interview by TMZ cameramen while sitting in his Mercedes, Kelly opened the passenger side door, saying, “I’m going to get into David Foster’s car. You’re going to have another Housewife.”
David pleaded with her to shut the door because there were cameras on. She said, “Oh, they don’t care,” and walked away. David said that he wasn’t sure who Kelly was. She later said, “I was with my friends Heather McDonald and Lea Black and I was joking when I said he needs a new housewife. I guess he didn’t find it funny.”
David and his staff definitely did not find it funny. David’s spokesman told TMZ, “In today’s environment, what Kelly did was careless, inappropriate and disrespectful. David drove away in his car, alone and shaken. The video and her remarks speak for itself.”
