Secret Mommy: Everything We Know About Kim and Kanye’s Surrogate
Who's the woman carrying Baby No. 3?
Best Kept Secret
Kim Kardashian and Kanye West live a life of luxury, so it’s no surprise they’ve chosen the best surrogate for their Baby No. 3. Though the identity of the woman has been kept well-guarded by the agency for privacy and safety concerns, new details revolving around the hush-hush pregnancy — including the surrogate’s background and family history — have surfaced. To no one’s surprise, she essentially sounds like the perfect woman to have Kimye’s baby.
Who’s the Surrogate?
According to TMZ, the couple’s gestational surrogate is an African-American woman in her 20s from San Diego. She has been married to an African-American man for five years — longer than Kim has been with Kanye — and has a rock solid marriage with no problems in her family life.
In fact, the surrogate is the biological mother of two young boys. She’s said to be in tip-top health, suffering no complications during the labor and delivery of her children.
Unlike Kim, the surrogate has received post-secondary education; the outlet reports the woman is a college graduate. As a Hillary Clinton supporter, Kim has even made sure the woman carry her baby adheres to her political views. The surrogate, who has been through the process before and has appeared in an agency’s promotional video for surrogacy, is a registered democrat.
Rules and Requirements
The parents-of-two have agreed to pay the surrogate $45,000 in 10 monthly installments and $68,850 to the agency responsible for finding the woman.
Like with many couples who are expecting via surrogate, Kim and Kanye have also issued a list of requirements for the woman carrying their baby. They have prohibited smoking, drinking, and using drugs during the pregnancy, as well as any sexual activities in the weeks leading up to the birth.
Other rules the duo have implemented include a ban on hot tubs, saunas and raw fish. The surrogate has also been forbidden to change cat litter, dye her hair, or drink more than one caffeinated beverage per day during the pregnancy.
As part of the contractual agreement, Kim and Kanye promise to “assume the legal and parental responsibilities for any child … that may possess any congenital or other abnormalities or defects.” In return, the surrogate has waved all legal claim to the child after the birth.
Should the surrogate be pregnant with more than one baby, she will receive $5,000 for each additional child. If she were to lose reproductive organs as a result of the pregnancy, Kim and Kanye are responsible for paying $4,500.
As previously reported, the surrogate is somewhere around her second trimester and is due to give birth some time in January. She’s reportedly in good health at the moment.
