Too Cute! Kim Kardashian Shares First Photo of Chicago West
Hello, Chicago West!
Kim Kardashian’s newborn baby girl finally made her long-awaited Instagram debut on Monday, Feb. 26, when her famous mom shared a selfie of the two of them together.
Clad in coordinating white outfits, the mother-daughter duo looked super cute in as they snapped a picture together using Snapchat’s matching teddy bear filters.
“Baby Chicago,” Kim captioned the snapshot.
While this is the first clear photo of little Chi’s face, it’s not the first glimpse we’ve gotten of the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star’s third child. As fans know, Chicago first appeared in Kylie Jenner’s 11-minute birth announcement video earlier this month. In the video, the 20-year-old makeup mogul was seen cradling her niece in her nursery.
“She’s so little,” Kylie marveled, as pal Jordyn Woods asked about the name.
“I think we’re gonna go with Chicago,” Kim replied.
“I love Chicago!” Kylie cooed.
Following the birth, Kim took to her app to open up about her decision to hire a gestational carrier to have her baby. Explaining that her struggles with preeclampsia and placenta accreta made it hard for her to become pregnant again, the 37-year-old said she eventually sought out a surrogacy agency because “it wasn’t safe for my—or the baby’s—health to carry on my own.”
“Having a gestational carrier is definitely different, but anyone who says or thinks it’s the easy way out is completely wrong,” she confessed. “People assume it’s better because you don’t have to deal with the physical changes, pain or complications with delivery, but for me it was so hard to not carry my own child, especially after I carried North and Saint.”
“I’m so grateful for modern technology and that this is even possible,” Kim continued. “It’s not for everyone, but I absolutely love my gestational carrier and this was the best experience I’ve ever had.”
