It was a night to remember
In true Keeping Up with the Kardashians fashion, Kendall Jenner‘s 22nd birthday party was anything but low-key. The night was poised for drama from the get-go. Not only did some of her sisters skip out on the big night, but the model was caught between her divorced parents when they each showed up with their much younger partners.
Sources tell Celebuzz! that the affair had all the makings of an explosive clash between Kardashians and Jenners as feuding family members came face-to-face for the first time in a long while.
The Big 2-2
Kendall Jenner had one hell of a memorable birthday all thanks to her family.
The model was surrounded by the Keeping Up with the Kardashians clan — sans expectant moms Khloé Kardashian and Kylie Jenner, who presumably skipped out on the festivities to avoid taking the spotlight away from their sister — as she rang in the big 2-2 at West Hollywood hotspot Petite Tacqueria Thursday night.
Clad in a white crop top, ripped jeans, and $10,000 crystal-embroidered Saint Laurent boots, Kendall was feted by Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, family friends Kyle Richards and Faye Resnick, Kourtney Kardashian and boyfriend Younes Bendjima.
“Kris and Caitlyn knew it was Kendall’s night, so they were both on their best behavior,” a source told Celebuzz!. “They didn’t want to ruin it by fighting. You could tell there was tension, but they were cordial for Kendall’s sake.”
Kris was accompanied by boyfriend Corey Gamble, while Caitlyn brought rumored girlfriend Sophia Hutchins — a 21-year-old transgender student at Pepperdine University — to the celebration. Though the encounter had all the makings for a major fight, our insider said everyone “remained friendly for the most part.”
“It was a little awkward,” our source revealed. “They kept their distance to avoid any drama.”
As previously reported, Caitlyn has been quietly seeing Sophia after the college undergrad took time off to school last year to complete her transition. The two were most recently spotted on a vacation together in Los Cabos, Mexico.
