Taylor Swift just reignited her feud with Kim Kardashian, and it looks like she’s out for blood. The first single off her sixth studio album, “Look What You Made Me Do,” is arguably a dig at the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star as she makes thinly-veiled reference to the 2015 phone call she had with Kanye West. As fans wait with bated breath for more tea from the singer’s highly-anticipated album, Reputation, Kim is preparing for an all-out war by digging out damning receipts that could ruin Taylor’s career once and for all.
Taylor Swift is out for (bad) blood in the lead single off her sixth studio album, Reputation. The singer dropped “Look What You Made Me Do” — a dark dance-pop song co-written by pal Jack Antonoff — late Thursday night, reigniting her feud with Kim Kardashian by seemingly taking a dig at the reality star and Kanye West.
Though she doesn’t call out the couple by name, her lyrics are extremely telling as the singer makes a thinly-veiled reference to Kanye’s suspended stage during his Saint Pablo Tour. “I don’t like your little games,” she croons. “I don’t like your tilted stage.”
Many fans have also latched onto revenge shots like “Maybe I got mine, but one day you’ll get yours” and “I’ve got a list of names and yours is in red, underlined,” claiming the lines are aimed at Kim for leaking video of Taylor’s phone call with Kanye in which — contrary to what was previously said — the songstress gives the rapper permission to say “I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex, because I made that b*tch famous” in his song, “Famous.”
Taylor says on the diss track, “The old Taylor can’t come to the phone right now / Why? ‘Cause she’s dead.”
Now, Kim is on the defensive as she prepares to wage war of her own over her nemesis. Just hours after “Look What You Made Me Do” was released, the Selfish author banned the use of the snake emoji — a symbol fans have been using to reference Taylor — on her Instagram.
“Kim thinks the snake reference is about her,” a source told Radar Online when Taylor posted a video of the slithery creature prior to the song’s debut.
Fans are also wondering how the parents-of-two will respond to Taylor releasing Reputation on Nov. 10, which just so happens to be the 10th anniversary of the death of Kanye’s mother, Donda West. Many suspect the couple will plan on releasing more receipts about Taylor, if the new record takes aim at their family.
“Kanye is going to let Taylor have it if she goes after Kim on this new album,” the insider said. “Kim is just tired of playing this game with Taylor. She has clearly had it out for the both of them, and Kim is so ready to fight fire with fire if this album includes any shade.”
The source added, “It’s about to get ugly, and Kim is ready to shut Taylor down!”
“Someone Is Being Fake”
“When I feel like someone is being fake is the time that I’ll say something, and it’s usually really publicly,” Kim said in a video shared on her app. “I personally take the high road most of the time. Like I just don’t care. So I always think, will I be affected by this tomorrow? Will I be affected by it in a week? Will I be affected in a month? And in a year? And usually the answer is no.”
“My tip on clapping back is just do whatever makes you feel good,” she continued. “Like, if you feel like talking sh*t to someone, go for it.”
