Prison time is the situation at hand
We used to love seeing The Situation on Jersey Shore; the lovable jerk was always getting into it with his co-starts Snooki and J-Woww. Now, Mike Sorrentino is all grown up and trying to manage his finances, but it seems like he just doesn’t know how to pay his taxes correctly. Either that, or he’s trying to hide all of his money from the government, because the IRS has claimed that Mike and his brother owe them a ton of money, and they’re going to go to jail if they don’t start paying up.
We first got introduced to The Situation on the MTV show Jersey Shore. Mike was a young, cocky guido bent on bedding all the hot babes that he met while living in a house of like-minded young adults.
He appeared on every season of the show starting in 2009 through 2012.
Mike has since made a fortune making appearances on shows like The Howard Stern Show, Chelsea Lately, and Comedy Central’s Roast of Donald Trump. He also appeared on Dancing With the Stars in 2010.
The Situation asked one of his brothers to help him manage the quickly-growing, vast fortune he got from being on all of these shows.
Said fortune has come under fire, as the IRS claims that Mike and his brother Marc were evading paying taxes on the millions of dollars that Mike made.
Mike and his brothers appeared on the show Marriage Bootcamp Reality Stars: Family Edition in April 2017 in order to make their relationships better, since money tore them apart. Mike claimed, “Marc was in charge of my business activities. The U.S. government tends to believe that somehow my taxes are messed up. It definitely caused some friction with my brothers and my family.”
