Tamra Judge and Vicki Gunvalson have always had a complicated relationship, but their ongoing feud has gotten so bad in recent weeks that the Real Housewives of Orange County co-stars have producers worried. With Vicki continuing to bad-mouth Tamra any chance she gets, the network is afraid the ladies may have taken things too far for the 13th season of the show. The network is even said to be scrambling as they find ways to end the beef between the two TV moms. Does this mean one of them will be booted from the series soon?
The gloves are off
Tamra Judge and Vicki Gunvalson have been at each other’s throat since the Season 12 premiere of The Real Housewives of Orange County, and it looks like they’re not going to make amends any time soon. Though they were friendly in past season, the moms severed all ties with one another earlier this year when Tamra found out Vicki had been spreading rumors claiming her husband, Eddie Judge, is gay.
Vicki even upset Bravo when she wrote about the gay rumors on the network’s official site, claiming Eddie had an “‘unorthodox’ relationship with a gay man who adopted him as an adult.” Many fans were upset at the language used on post, forcing Bravo to remove the shocking excerpt from Vicki’s blog.
“If I never speak to the woman again it would be the best day. It would be too soon,” Tamra told The Daily Dish of her onscreen nemesis. “I think she has done so much to me and I think she has zero boundaries. She does not care about my family, my children, my husband, my marriage, my business. She attacks my business. When somebody has zero boundaries — and I’ve always said if you’re gonna lie about your own life then you’re gonna lie about other people’s lives. So she’s a liar.”
No More Mrs. Nice Housewife
According to Radar Online, the beef between Tamra and Vicki has gotten so bad in recent weeks that it’s even started to affect production of the reality show. While drama is always welcomed, producers are mad that the frenemies are making things very difficult for the crew to stay on schedule after Vicki “straight up told Bravo execs that she will not film” with Tamra.
A source told the outlet the pair has managed to avoid an on-camera brawl due to the fact that they’ve spent “a very minimal amount of time filming together,” but keeping the peace on set has started taking a toll on producers.
The insider said Tamra and Vicki know that the network will never fire them, so they’re dragging out their feud as long as possible and making everyone around them suffer, explaining, “Vicki and Tamra are absolutely both coming back next season. The network will not boot either one of them and they both know it.”
“Producers do not know what to do about it at this moment, and they are considering paying each one of them a substantial bonus to coexist in the same scenes together,” the source added. “They are the reason that the Orange County franchise continues to do so well.”
For Tamra, she recently told People she has no plans to reconcile with her former friend. “She’s done too much damage to me,” she said. “For Vicki to insult my marriage like that it’s a fraud, that’s what hurt me.”
