‘RHOC’ Star’s Scary Medical Issue Revealed
He looks completely exhausted!
Tamra and Eddie Judge are known to be health-centric. Tamra is the person trying hard to whip Shannon Beador into shape since she gained several pounds after finding out that her husband was cheating on her. Recently, Tamra and Eddie were filmed doing exercises that look like those featured on American Ninja Warrior, and they completed the course with ease.
The couple trained hard for the intense, physically-challenging Spartan Race for weeks before participating on Jan. 28. Though 44-year-old Eddie seemed to pass the course easily, he fell ill within a few days and was admitted to the hospital.
Tamra posted a picture on Instagram of Eddie completing an obstacle in the Spartan Race on Feb. 7 saying that he was getting his “heart fixed.”
“On the drive to hospital he said ‘I just want to ride my bike again.’ You’re almost there baby. Dr. Lee will get your heart back to normal in no time,” she wrote.
Concerned fans pleaded with Tamra to update them about his mysterious condition, and she gave them more clues about what was wrong the next day.
Tamra posted three pictures of Eddie in the hospital looking exhausted. “It’s been a long day and glad it’s behind us. [Eddie] Just walked his first loop in the hospital like a Spartan Race …kinda,” she wrote.
Tamra included the medical terms “afib,” “cardio ablation,” and “sinus rhythm” in her post, and those who are familiar with the terms figured out what Eddie must be going through.
“So based on the hashtags, he has an irregular heart rhythm (afib). They did a cardiac ablation, which is minimally invasive, and the doctor basically goes in through the blood vessels and scars small pieces of heart tissue, so that those cells don’t pick up the electrical current causing the dysrhythmia,” explained Redditor Pm_me_baby_pig_pics. “It requires an ICU stay afterwards, and from what I understand can be pretty exhausting.”
During a cardiac ablation, catheters are inserted into arteries in the groin area then moved towards the heart to correct the tissues that are causing abnormal heart beats. Some people can go home within a few hours of the procedure, but it can leave you in severe pain for some time.
Tamra has yet to fully explain how they found out about his heart condition or what they’ll do to make his heart healthier in the future.
The couple just moved into a new home in Ladera Ranch, CA. They got the keys in December, but they renovated parts of the home over the next few weeks. Moving and strenuous exercise can certainly be stressful which may have led Eddie to feel overwhelmed, exacerbating his heart condition.
