‘RHOC’ Star Tamra Judge Fights Back Against to Daughter’s Abuse Allegations
"So many wonderful memories made. Although bittersweet."
Tamra Judge and Sidney Barney have been estranged for years since the Real Housewives of Orange County star’s messy divorce with ex-husband Simon Barney. During the Bravo series’ Season 10 reunion show, Tamra revealed she had not seen her teenage daughter in two years after the 18-year-old moved out of her Southern California home to live with her father full-time.
Though it seemed like the mother-daughter duo were on the road to reconciliation when the 49-year-old reality star reunited with her child this summer at the teen’s high school graduation, everything took a turn for the worse when Sidney made a public statement blasting her mom and accusing the Housewife of abuse and neglect.
“She Was No Mother to Me”
In a lengthy Facebook post, Sidney went into detail about her estrangement from her famous mother. Expressing she had no interest ever in appearing on The Real Housewives of Orange County, which her mother has been on since in 2007, the 18-year-old claimed her mom chose fame over her children and only cared about them it gave her publicity.
“The reasons I left my mothers house are that she was neglectful (leaving us at home with no food or simply ignoring us entirely), she constantly put herself first and the biggest reason was that she was mentally and emotionally abusive,” she wrote. “She was no mother to me. This was an unhealthy environment for all of us kids and unfortunately I was the only one to recognize this and take steps to get out of that toxic environment.”
Accusing her mother of “talking about me on the show/press/social media, doing embarrassing things on the show, lying to me and putting herself first,” the soon-to-be college freshman argued, “If she would have put the effort into actually working on our relationship, instead of talking and crying about how much she ‘misses me’ on the show and wishes things were different she wouldn’t have missed my entire high school career.”
Deny, Deny, Deny
Tamra, who was vacationing in Aruba during her daughter’s online tirade, since responded to the accusations and denied allegations of mistreatment. Against her Sidney’s wishes, the mom-of-four took to social media to address the situation and air her grievances. In a now-deleted Instagram post, she wrote, “So many wonderful memories made. Although bittersweet.”
“I want to say thank you to everyone that has reached out to me to see if I’m okay. I/We are trying our best to enjoy our vacation,” she continued. “Thank you to my Mom who is not taking this very well and feels the need to defend me. I love you Mom. I love my daughter and I would NEVER abuse, hurt or neglect her in any way.”
