‘RHONJ’ Star Bans Cameras From Filming an Important Event
Siggy said no!
Siggy Flicker had a difficult time during her second (and last) season as a Real Housewife. Things got heated between Siggy and the newcomer Margaret Josephs after Margaret made a reference to Adolf Hitler while admonishing Siggy.
Siggy took great offense to the comment because her father is a Holocaust survivor, and she felt that Margaret’s words ― and refusal to apologize ― constituted anti-Semitic hate speech. Though Margaret later offered an apology for offending Siggy, it fell on deaf ears.
Sometime in October, Margaret called the police on Siggy for allegedly making death threats. The police investigation concluded that there was no threat on Margaret’s life, Siggy simply tweeted a picture of a stuffed bear in Margaret’s house that she felt was cruel.
“Her personality is just so abrasive,” Margaret said about Siggy on the explosive reunion show. The embattled women began to argue over their foyers because Siggy believed Margaret made fun of the photos in her foyer. Eventually, Siggy posted the picture of the bear in Margaret’s. She screamed, “Don’t talk about my foyer, I won’t talk about yours.”
Gone for Good
It was all too much negativity for Siggy to handle. Celebuzz! previously reported that she sent a resignation letter on Dec. 19 that explained how she felt singled out by the production company to be ridiculed continuously for good ratings. She explained:
“It was evident throughout the season and confirmed at the reunion when Margaret blurted out on camera that Sirens [Production Company] told her that I sucked and she was to continue targeting me.”
She went on to the day that the producers stopped filming so that they could tell Margaret not to disclose those kind of productions secrets. “When filming resumed Margaret withdrew her statements about production. It was sickening and enlightening,” she continued.
Not Her Party
It turns out that Siggy was being uncooperative about filming months ago, so she may have been feeling like quitting for a long time. According to show insiders, Siggy’s husband Michael Campanella refused to let cameras films her fiftieth birthday party on May 20. It wasn’t just a celebration of her birth, guests were asked to donate to a charity of their choice in the name of Nicole Campanella O’Brien, her cousin who passed away from cancer in April.
Teresa Giudice and Dolores Cantania were in attendance, and her nemesis Margaret wasn’t there. As important as the affair was, Siggy still told the cameramen that they had to go home because they wouldn’t be allowed in.
“I’m so moved by Teresa and Dolores and all of my friends and family that gave money in my beautiful cousin’s name. They are truly good people,” Siggy told Radar Online about the soiree.
