A new Kardashian is about to have a revenge body
Just a few days after his brother-in-law, Kanye West, seemingly threw come shade at his fluctuating weight, Rob Kardashian is hitting back with news that he’s shed some serious pounds. The 31-year-old has seen some serious weight changes in the past several years, but it looks like he’s finally ready to join his famous sisters in the spotlight after a major transformation.
If his latest Instagram post is any indicator, we’re about to be very impressed with the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star.
Ups and Downs
Rob Kardashian has seen serious weight fluctuation over the past few years. He’s been fairly open with his health struggles and, if his latest Instagram is anything to go by, we’re about to see a very different Rob then the one we’ve grown used to.
The 31-year-old recently shared a photo of himself from 2016, simply captioning it, “I don’t look like this anymore #thetransformationiscoming #staytuned #nosurgery #putinwork.”
The “no surgery” hashtag could be a dig at brother-in-law Kanye West, who recently revealed that he had undergone liposuction due to the public reaction to Rob’s weight change. As Celebuzz! reported, the 40-year-old rapper said that he was nervous being called “fat.”
“I had plastic surgery because I was trying to look good for y’all. I got liposuction because I didn’t want y’all to call me fat like you called Rob at the wedding and made him fly home before me and Kim got married,” Yeezus said on TMZ Live.
Naturally, fans were quick to congratulate Rob over his new makeover, many expressing their excitement over the update.
“Ready for you to drop that pic,” one follower wrote. “You look good either way.”
Another said, “When you do it for you the transformation will be life changing… proud of you and can’t wait to see the renewed true you.”
Happy and Healthy
As fans know, the Arthur George sock designer prefers to keep a lower profile compared to his many famous sisters.
However, he thrusted himself back into the spotlight in March after sharing a photo of him looking thinner than he had in recent pictures. Fans were quick to comment on that snap as well, congratulating the father-of-one for sticking to his diet and exercise regimen.
“You look great Rob, I’m happy for you!” one commented.
“You’re looking great,” another said. “Happy and healthy suits you.”
The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star gained around 100 pounds throughout 2014 and 2015. This led to the beginning of Rob’s more reclusive lifestyle, which included him skipping Kim Kardashian’s wedding to Kanye.
“I was doing my suit fittings in Paris right before the wedding and I just wasn’t comfortable,” Rob reveled to People later. “I’m 6’1″ and at my most I probably weighed 300 lbs.”
“It’s Breaking My Heart”
Those insecurities also led to him missing many of the family’s vacations, holiday parties, and more. During this time, the famous clan tried to step in and offered to send Rob to rehab or bring in professionals.
However, Rob was clearly not interested in taking them up on their offers, stating that he didn’t believe in therapy or rehab in a tweet.
This built up to the youngest Kardashian being rushed to the hospital just after Christmas of 2015, where he was diagnosed with diabetes. At the time, he was living with big sister Khloe Kardashian, who hoped that his diagnosis would “shake him up a little bit, and jump-start his health journey.”
Rob later spoke out about his struggles with weight gain and depression. He acknowledged that while he hurt a lot of people by hiding away and cutting off his family, he promised to “never go to that place again.”
“The way I dealt with my issues maybe wasn’t the best, but nobody can make me happy but me,” he said. “Now I want to see everybody in my family every chance I get. You never know what is going to happen tomorrow, and I don’t want to do that to my mom.”
