1. Only two of its stars are from New Jersey.
Despite the title of the show, only two stars out of the entire cast lineup are actually from the Garden State. Sammi Sweetheart hails from the township of Hazlet, while Deena Nicole Cortese — who joined the show during the third season its original run — calls New Egypt home.
Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino, Vinny Guadagnino, and Angelina Pivarnick all lived in Staten Island when the show first aired. Meanwhile, before packing their bags for Seaside Heights, and Ronnie Ortiz-Magro was a true Bronx boy and Snooki resided in the small upstate town of Marlboro, N.Y. Jenni “JWoww” Farley came from Franklin Square, N.Y.
Paul “DJ Pauly D” DelVecchio was the only one who didn’t come from New Jersey or New York, traveling to all the way from Rhode Island to the boardwalk instead.
