George Clooney Puts His Sex Drive on Pause

Some people believe the best way to get over a bad relationship is to hop right back on the horse. George Clooney would prefer to ride a motorboat instead, thanks very much.

Since calling it quits with former girlfriend Sarah Larson two weeks ago, the star has been chilling with male pals in Italy, zipping around Lake Como and getting in some golf, according to People magazine.

"They didn't use a golf cart, they chose to walk around the course," says an observer who spotted the merry crew of male bonders on the links. The source adds that Clooney is "actually quite good for someone who does not give the sport much time and practice."

Are you kidding? Clooney could sink 18 holes in his sleep. And he probably has.

The Oscar winner has signed on to star in the contemporary spy thriller "The Tourist," a big-screen adaptation of the best-selling Olen Steinhauer novel.

Clooney would produce along with Smokehouse regulars Grant Heslov and Nina Wolarsky, according to Variety.

Acquired by WB in the fall, "The Tourist" is a contemporary international thriller about a spy who risks everything to reveal a conspiracy after he’s accused of a murder he didn’t commit.”

Mr. Clooney has the same problem my brother had. He thinks girls are just using him beacause of his fame and fortune. Mr. Clooney sometimes we have to let the heart speak and feel, we still have wonderful women around the world who can make you a happy man for the rest of your life. Just believe in love.

I'm sure George does let his heart speak but he didn't have a wonderful woman to speak to. He is justified in thinking that women are using him for his money because his girlfriends - especially his most recent - are using him for fame and money. He has a penchant for choosing porn stars (Krista Allen) and prostitutes (Sarah Larson) so he can keep his distance and protect himself from hurt. He needs a successful woman who does not want Hollywood fame and who is as wealthy as him or even wealthier. That would ease the worry about her true motivations.
