The Daily Breeze is reporting that 300 star and potential Jennifer Aniston date material Gerard Butler allegedly attacked a paparazzi that was following him early Tuesday morning.

Los Angeles police are investigating a claim by a tabloid photographer that Butler exited his limousine near Hollywood Boulevard and Wilton Place after a night out at Los Angeles’ Crown Bar and confronted the man, who had allegedly been trailing him, in his car.

A supposed fracas ensued, and Butler is said to have punched the man several times.

The photographer was treated for his injuries at a local hospital and filed a police report.

He was apparently unaware that in Gerard’s head, “THIS IS [still] SPARTA!”
