Nothing like a little barbecue to bring old pals together! Here Shanna Moakler and Gerard Butler cozied up Monday night at Gerard's new investment Shin, a Korean BBQ spot in Hollywood.

The pair, who sources tell us have "known each other for years," played catch up.

Moakler no doubt had an earful for the actor given the trauma of her past few weeks.

Returning from ex-husband Travis Barker's bedside last Friday, the mother of three grabbed a much needed break alongside Butler, some girlfriends and fellow investors.

While the photos definitely convey an intimacy between the former Miss USA and the 300 star, Celebuzz is told Moakler was merely whispering into Butler's ear, not canoodling.

"Gerard was great," a partygoer tells us of the jovial part owner. "At one point, he was standing at the bar making drinks for everyone, pouring Belvedere and champagne."

While Butler did no press, for obvious reasons, he felt right at home alongside several noteworthy partners: DJ's Mark Ronson and Steve Aoki, That 70s castmembers Chris Masterson, Danny Masterson and Laura Prepon, as well as Julian Casablancas from the Strokes.
