It’s a Girl for Jamie Lynn!
UPDATE: Guess rumors are meant to be dispelled. The new arrival now has a name, People confirms: Maddie Briann. Not quite a melange of mom and dad’s, the moniker incorporates brother Bryan’s.
“Just the family was there,” a source tells the mag. “Everyone is healthy and happy.”
Now, with all their nesting done and that GED in Jamie Lynn’s back pocket, they can focus solely on playing house. Enjoy, kids.
Jamie Lynn Spears is officially a teenage mom, the National Enquirer reports. The 17-year-old Disney Channel star delivered a healthy baby girl at 8:30 a.m. today, after doctors at Mississippi Southwest Regional Medical Center had scheduled a Cesarean section because of an impending breech birth.
The baby weighed in at 6 pounds, 10 ounces. No name has been released, but rumors swirled yesterday that the moniker would be Cailynn, Cassie or some combination of mom’s and ATV-lovin’ ex-fiancé dad Casey Aldridge‘s names. Boy, they do know how to milk it down there—Jamie, Lynne, Jamie Lynn, anyone?!)
