‘Gossip Girl’ Father Encourages On-Set Dating
These two young Gossip Girl stars make such a beautiful couple on-screen, it seems like a waste of their combined aesthetic talents for them not to continue their scripted relationship into reality. Their co-star Matthew Settle expressed just that sentiment at the Entertainment Weekly upfront party.
When Settle, who plays Penn Badgley‘s father on the CW series, was asked by People magazine whether or not Blake Lively and Penn should get it on in real life, he said, “They’re a very hot couple. They look good together. And I think they’re good for each other, so why not?”
Quite frankly being a “very hot couple” seems like quite enough. Any mention of an emotional connection as the basis of a relationship between these two seems superfluous—at least in Hollywood.
