'Gossip Girl' Premiere Creates Big Buzz

The dirt is in on Gossip Girl's Season Two premiere Monday night, and word is—lean in close now—it's a hit!

According to The Hollywood Reporter, 3.4 million viewers tuned in to watch Blake Lively, Chace Crawford and the rest of the gang's scandalicious shenanigans. This marks a six percent increase from the numbers on last year's series premiere.

Hmm; maybe the audience rise is due to all the cougars tuning in to catch a glimpse of Crawford strutting his dreamy stuff.

Whatever the reason, perhaps this will resurrect talk of a GG spinoff featuring resident bad girl Taylor Momsen. And it will finally give an apparently sexless Lively something to cheer about.

Congratulations, gang—give yourselves a big hand!

 That is, if your hands aren't already otherwise occupied.
