TMZ reports that Simon Cowell's ex-girlfriend, Terri Seymour, was attacked after last night's taping of American Idol.

Seymour was at L.A. Live—the complex that houses the Nokia Theater, where Idol is taped—when 33-year-old Janice Thibodeaux reportedly walked up to Seymour and asked if she was Cowell's girlfriend.

Thibodeaux, who weighs in at approximately 200 pounds, then allegedly attacked Seymour and attempted to choke her.

Thibodeaux was booked on felony battery and is being held on $52,700 bail. Her brother and sister tell TMZ that she's "not crazy" and that the alleged incident was "totally out of character" for her.

Hope she makes bail before tonight—otherwise she'll miss the big American Idol season finale!
