The 16-year-old told Extra at yesterday's A Time For Heroes Celebrity Carnival that the rumors of her and Taylor Lautner dating are blown way out of proportion.

"He's one of my good friends," Gomez asserts. "I’m single. Definitely single."

Definitely single, eh? We're not sure what to believe...
