Maybe all that weight that Matt Damon, 37, put on for his recent whistle-blower role in The Informant was his way of sympathizing with pregnant wife Luciana Damon, 32.

Well, Matt can shed those extra pounds now.

He and Luciana have become the proud parents of Gia Zavala Damon. The new daughter rounds out the Damon trio of female siblings with sisters Isabella, two, and Alexia, ten.

Gia Zavala was born Wednesday, August 20. Few details have been supplied other than:  "Everyone's doing great. She is a healthy baby girl."
