Updates on the story "Julianna Margulies Won't Be Cutting Into 'ER' Finale" on Celebuzz

Despite several original cast members returning to ER in its final season, Julianna Margulies has declined an offer for a guest appearance on the hospital drama, says the Associated Press.

Anthony Edwards reprised the role of Dr. Mark Greene on last week's episode, and Noah Wyle and Eriq La Salle are set to return.

Margulies, 42, played nurse Carol Hathaway on NBC's ER beginning with the show's fall 1994 premiere. She left after six seasons, in 2000. ER is ending now in its 15th season.

"I feel like I left Carol Hathaway in the best scenario possible," Margulies told the AP. "I can't imagine making it any better than that."

Her character moved to Seattle to live with George Clooney's Dr. Doug Ross.

While anticipation is high, there's still no official word that Clooney will return before the show is put to rest.
