Updates on the story "Nicole Kidman: 'I Sucked in Australia'" on Celebuzz

Thought Nicole Kidman's performance in Australia really blew?

Surprise; she agrees with you!

The Daily Mail reports that the 41-year-old actress recently admitted in an interview with a Sydney radio station that she "squirmed" in horror as she watched the big-budget epic romance at its Australian premiere in November.

"I can't look at this movie and be proud of what I've done," Kidman told radio station 2dayFM. "I sat there and I looked at [husband] Keith [Urban] and went, 'Am I any good in this movie?'"

If Urban is smart, he headed to the lobby for popcorn at that point.

Kidman wasn't the only one disappointed with the flick; director Baz Luhrmann frenziedly reworked the film's ending right before its release after it became clear that the climax was lacking.

And, while the film boasted a $190 million budget, it took in just $44.3 million at U.S. and Canadian theaters in its first five weeks of release.

Kidman did have kind words for her co-stars, Hugh Jackman and 11-year-old Aboriginal boy Brandon Walters, both of whom she deemed "wonderful" in the film. But as for her own performance, "It's just impossible for me to connect to it emotionally at all." And this is a woman who's all about connecting emotionally.

Cheer up, Nicole. At least you got a kid out of the experience. And you've scored gushing reviews on that front.
