Grease: It’s Not Just for Britney’s Skin Anymore
Don’t call it a comeback. Well, actually, it might be.
Hot on the heels of Britney Spears‘ recent appearance on How I Met Your Mother, producers of a new Broadway version of ’50s-based musical Grease are targeting the singer for the lead role of Sandy, played by Olivia Newton-John in the popular 1978 movie version.
That’s great news! With her recent financial burdens—such as having to shell out nearly half a mil for Kevin Federline‘s legal fees from their child-custody battle—she could no doubt use the cash.
And she’d probably bring a certain veracity to the part, as she most likely doesn’t realize what decade she’s living in to begin with.
Hopefully, the producers won’t let her have anything to do with the car-race scene, though. Word is she can cause accidents just by thinking about driving.
