Gwyneth Paltrow Admits Her Guilt

Gwyneth Paltrow, exalted dispenser of advice to the rest of the world, isn’t above finding fault in herself.

The 36-year-old actress tells GMTV that she suffers serious bouts of “mother guilt” when her Hollywood career interferes with her maternal duties.

Paltrow will be moving her brood from London to Los Angeles so she can film Iron Man 2  soon. The actress—who has a four-year-old daughter, Apple, and a two-year-old son, Moses, with Coldplay rocker Chris Martin—says that she feels bad about uprooting her kids.

“I’m feeling mother guilt because my daughter’s looking forward to going, but my son always says, ‘I don’t want to leave my London house’—and I feel pretty guilty about that. I just try to say, ‘Well, but we’re going to swim and it’ll be sunny.’ I try to point out the positives.”

A sunny vacation in L.A. doesn’t seem like such a terrible fate for a kid. If anything, one would think that she’d feel “mother guilt” about naming her kids Apple and Moses.

And as long as she’s embracing her guilt, maybe Paltow could express some remorse about the exorbitant membership fees she’s planning to charge at her new gym.
