Now this is an interesting casting move...
E! Online reports that Gwyneth Paltrow will play Nicole Kidman's wife in the adaptation of David Ebershoff's novel The Danish Girl.
Uh, how's that?
Well, according to the plot, Paltrow will play Greta, a painter in the 1920s who has her husband dress up in drag and act as her female model. The hubby—portrayed by Kidman—eventually develops a liking for his feminine side and, after a bit of gender-reassignment surgery, their marriage is a whole different ball game. So to speak.
Paltrow will be replacing Charlize Theron, who was originally cast n the role of Greta.
